Wifi Hot Water Cylinder Control Kit supplied ready to assemble and install by a registered electrician. This kit is much more sophisticated than our Bluetooth HWC Control Kit which only allows on/off times to be set, with this kit and its WiFi temperature sensor you can create limitless automations based on time and temperature and control the cylinder element from anywhere in the world.
Controlling a HWC has never been easier - switchboard timers are complicated to setup accurately and laborious to change frequently. Being able to control your HWC easily from an app on your phone means you can take full advantage of cheaper tarriffs and special offers from your power authority, ideal for power companies that offer a free hour of power like Electric Kiwi or Contact with their 3 free hours. Or just save money by heating the cylinder once a day instead of everytime someone turns a hot tap on. Setup using the Wiser App (by Schneider) from the App Store or Google Play. In most cases this kit will simply replace the wall switch/connection unit already installed.
Kit comprises:
- PDL Wiser, Smart Hub, Zigbee to IP Network 501902 connects the system to the internet
- PDL Wiser Temperature/Humidity Smart Sensor 593011 to monitor the temperature at the hot water cylinder, -10 deg to 50 degrees, attach to outlet pipe of cylinder as close as possible to the cylinder
- 1 x PDL 356PB10MBT-VW pushbutton 15 amp timer module can be controlled by manual pushbutton or from the internet
- 1 x Iconic switch plate fits standard flush boxes, assembly requires approx 60mm depth
- 1 x PDL Iconic 20 amp switch mechanism
- Maximum recommended hot water cylinder element 3kW. For higher loads use a contactor (eg GWD6703)
- Timer can be set 1 second to 24 hours or disabled
- Time clock can store up to 16 schedules: 1 minute intervals, daily and monthly
- Create "Moments" or "Automations" using a combination of time and temperature settings
- Module settings retained for over 8 hours with no power - module must be live at scheduled "on" time unless independently powered
- Pushbutton can operate on/off or timer, could also be wired as a "boost" setup
- Iconic Bluetooth module LED indicator is programmable
- 1 x flexible cable entry - does not suit conduit - we can supply a kit to suit any installation
- Must be installed by a registered electrician
